FINAL score
ALVARK TOKYO 57-69 Seahorses Mikawa
(1st quarter: 18-12, 2nd quarter: 11-16, 3rd quarter: 15-21, 4th quarter: 13-20)
The starters were #3 Tabes, #75 Kosakebe, #23 Meindell, #22 Rossiter, and #11 Size. In the first quarter, they allowed the opponent to score first, but they also prevented them from scoring from the fast paced play that is their forte. They also showed their strength inside on both offense and defense, and took the initiative, finishing with a 6-point lead. In the second quarter, while the score stagnated, the opponent also allowed them to play fast and lost points. #22 Rossiter showed his spirit by dunking from a transition, but with less than a minute and a half left, they finally allowed the opponent to take the lead. However, after a timeout right after the turnaround, #11 Size took the second chance and took the lead back, finishing the first half with a 1-point lead. In the third quarter, the offensive and defensive battle continued with many intense lead changes, but #9 Ando led the team with 10 points, including 2 three-pointers, in this quarter alone. They allowed consecutive points in the final minutes and were behind by 5 points going into the final quarter. We fought in the 4th quarter trying to get some revenge, but we were unable to get the momentum going against the opposing defense and ended up losing the game.

Comment after game
Dainius Adomaitis HC
I think the reason we lost today was our poor offensive execution. Our situational judgment was poor, which led to us being in a hurry, and ultimately meant that we were unable to execute according to our game plan. We didn't finish with a shot, and we had a lot of turnovers, so if we don't make the shots when we have open opportunities and increase our percentage a bit, we'll be in a tough situation. On defense, we gave up a lot of fast break points, and our basket count plays stood out, so in a low-scoring game like today, it's important to reduce these losses. The opponent's defense was physical, and we played on the edge of not getting the whistle blown, so I think that's why our offense went a little haywire. I think both teams fought physically today, so tomorrow I want to step up more than Mikawa and be conscious of not losing physically.

I think we lost because we couldn't do what we had prepared for a week throughout the game. If we had done what we had prepared, we would have scored points, and even if the shots didn't go in, we would have been open and shot. I'm sorry to the coaches who prepared for us this week. We were one point away from winning, but the fact that we couldn't finish it means that we still don't have a sense of crisis. (Regarding the team-high 18 points) I think that I have to score points. If I score, I can cheer up the team, but we are still in the process of preparing for the CS. It's not enough that I scored points, we have to win. That's why I'm not satisfied with my performance today, and I think that if I had the ability to finish it in a better place, I could have opened up the points. There's no time to be regretful. I'll switch my mindset for tomorrow and prepare well so that the team can win tomorrow. Thank you for your support at home today.

I think it was a tough game. Our defense in the first half was really good, and we were following the game plan. But in the second half, the players went against the game plan, and we weren't able to execute it the way we had practiced for a week. The opponent had a new coach, new players, and a very different offense than last season. But the coaching staff had prepared well for everything, but we weren't able to execute it. So I think the players are responsible for today's loss. We should play more responsibly, and we will prepare to win tomorrow.
